Volunteering at Allgood E.S. is rewarding because the teachers strongly support one another as well as the students. I recently volunteered for the Annual Clarkston School & Community Drive Through Rally. In the past, I've volunteered at numerous PTA school events and Literacy Night just to name a few.

Leading students through math interventions is something that I truly feel led to do. Watching students grow towards success can be so rewarding. I have volunteered as a coach in the Statesboro Youth Theatre program at the Emma Kelly Theatre in Statesboro, Georgia. Also, I oversaw the Make-A-Wish annual fundraiser at William James Middle School for several years. I wish to serve on the Principal Advisory Council to help be a bridge between families, the community, and the school. I have served as an educator for 12 years. With each subsequent year, I strive to facilitate and strengthen school and stakeholder relations. When schools and the surrounding community work together to support learning, everyone benefits, resulting high levels of student achievement and community and staff engagement. I am a proud Dekalb Graduate (Dunwoody HS), and an even prouder Dekalb educator. I was blessed to have the unique privilege to become fluent in French at Dunwoody HS, become a French Exchange student, and then return to that same French high school as an ESOL teacher. I hold certifications in ESOL and Gifted, and love to work with students of all abilities. Additionally, this is my eighth year as a DLI partner teacher. The 2021-2022 school year is the start of my 8th year at Murphey Candler and my 12th year in Special Education. I serve as co-sponsor for the Young Ladies of Distinction, Sunshine Club, Chair of Murphey Candler's New Teachers Mentee Program, Technology Resource Liaison and Exceptional Education Chairperson. I feel that I have a great listening ear with my colleagues and open line of communication with parents when it comes to their child's interest.

I would love to represent MCE on the Principal Advisory Council. I have been in education for 25 years. Over those years, I have seen education evolve. If given this opportunity, I will listen and provide ideas that will benefit the community and the students of MCE.

This is my 12th of teaching and I have served a variety of grade levels. I have taught Pre-K, 1st grade, 4th grade, and STEM K-5th. I also co-coach the Robotics team at our school. I absolutely love teaching and growing the minds of our future leaders. I have volunteered at the DeKalb Technology Fair, DeKalb Math Carnival, SRE Reading Nights, SRE Make and Takes, and outside of school growing the community with the Heart of South DeKalb. I wish to serve on the PAC in order to grow our school to the model school status.

I have always loved working with kids. I am entering into my 7th year teaching. I have worked across the grade levels and am currently teaching 1st. I do a lot of volunteer work with my church and help out in different areas throughout the summers.
I really wanted to be a part of the PAC because I would really like to be a voice for our school. Our scholars are at the center of my heart and I really feel they deserve the best they can get.

I am a life long learner, and educator. I have served as a volunteer tutoring in my community and advising non educational professionals on educational practices involving curriculum updates, and strategies. I want to be a liaison for the school community to consult with, and also advice to the principal, community members, and school staff; advising and participating in decisions that impact student learning success.

This is my third year at Tucker (9th in education). I always work (serve) in the community that I live. As a teacher, parent, and member of the Tucker district I am able to bring new ideas formed by input of all three of these communities within the district.

James Hartry
I James Hartry have been here at Tucker High School for the past twenty-one(21) years and teaching the past thirty(30) years in Dekalb and I think that I would be a prime candidate for this position. Im looking forward to severing on the Principal Advisory Council.I also have severed as the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach her the past twenty-one(21) years also with many accomplishment.(2007 State Champion-Eight time final fours-Coach of the Year and many more.Thank you and I look to forward to hearing from you.

I have served on non-profit boards several times over the past 30 years from managing personnel issues to budget issues for a large organization. As a teacher-librarian, I stand outside the school structure and "lead from the middle". I am over no one but I support everyone. On the PAC, I can find out the concerns of the community better to help support our teachers and students. I can provide suggestions and solutions in terms of what is best for our teachers and students.

I have taught within various states, school settings, and community organizations over the last 18 years. I wish to share my perspective, serve the greater community, and learn amongst others, who wish to do the same.

Corey Williams
For the past 10 years I have had the honor to serve this school and this community. I have been the basketball coach and volunteered anywhere as needed when called upon by the community. Dr. Cunningham has been a major part of the success of this school and her successor has to exhibit some of her key characteristic traits in order to continue the success of the school. My heart is with the Tucker community and I deeply care about the future of the school and would be honored to serve on the council.
Edline Augustin
I began teaching in 1996 in Miami, Florida. As an elementary teacher, I've taught various grade levels including Gifted, Alternative Ed., and French. I've served as ELL Resource Personnel, Adult Ed. ESOL Coordinator, EESAC Chair, PD Liaison, and SIP Team Writer. Additionally, I've volunteered yearly as PTA teacher representative. Presently, I'm the World Language Department Chair, IB, and SIP Committee member. Two years ago, I co-coordinated our school's successful International Night event. I wish to serve on the Principal Advisory Council because I believe in its purpose of federating all stakeholders, which is the key to strengthening our school community.
Erica Gilzeane
Deriving from generations of teachers, teaching was always my goal and ultimate passion. I have a desire to help students and assist them with accomplishing their dreams. As a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., I understand the importance of giving back to your community and being a service to ALL mankind. I have volunteered at food banks, homeless shelters, animal shelters, school drives in addition to many others. Serving on the Principal Advisory Council would afford me the ability to merge two components of my life that mean the most; school and community. It would be an honor.
Tennille Fowler
My name is Dr.Tennille Fowler and this is my 11th year teaching in Dekalb County Schools.My educational journey began in Dekalb County Public Schools. I received my Doctorate Degree from Walden University. I have volunteered in the community in which I grew up. Specifically, I spent a lot of time volunteering in nursing home (SGM) Atlanta. I am a supporter/volunteer for Beta Club at my school. Also, I am on the new teachers mentor committee. By applying to PAC, I hope to continue to serve my community and give input to help our students achieve excellence.
Venecia J Thompson
My name is Mrs. Venecia Thompson. I have been in education for 20 years, and I have served in the Dekalb County School District since 2009. My volunteer experience includes providing reading activities at my grand children's schools, and leading recycling initiatives, and a food bank in my neighborhood. I also serve on the Educational Scholarship Board at my church. I am interested in becoming a member of my school's PAC because I have the utmost respect for the administrative team at Tucker Middle School. There is a comradery of support for all from each of the principals.

The 2021-22 school year will be my sixth year at Woodward ES. In addition to hosting many community music activities, I have also served on a committee to partner with the Atlanta Community Food Bank to provide monthly boxes of food to our community. I communicate often with the parents in our community and strive to build a positive connection. During the 2020-2021 school year I was selected as Teacher of the Year. I believe I would be a positive asset to the PAC at Woodward ES.

I have nearly 30 years of experience in the educational arena as a Teacher Leader in Dekalb County School System. I have been a teacher representative in other schools as well. I wish to volunteer as a representative in my current school Woodward to contribute to the increase in student achievement and successes. I am very excited to be a representative at Woodward.

Adriena Long
I never really considered myself for this position before but it was suggested to me by a colleague to be the voice of Teachers. I do try to keep a pulse on what is going on in Dekalb County and the board meetings and report that back to the teachers. I also serve on the Leadership Committee as a Co Grade Chair which is another way I am a liason between administration and the teachers. I have a servant's heart and a special place in my heart for teachers.

I wish to serve on Principal Advisory Council to serve all the stakeholders of Wynbrooke. I enjoy working with our parents as partners and look forward to strengthening our school community. As an educator, I look forward to an opportunity where I can sit down and make beneficial decisions for the good of Wynbrooke. I would also like to find ways to tap into our community partners to help to build their relationship with WES.
