Hi, I’m Luke, the Events Director of Wandering Society (Wandersoc) and an active participant in many other societies at UNSW. Arc loves to advertise itself as having “the largest clubs program in Australia,” yet it fails to give back to the hundreds of student volunteers who make it possible. Whether it's underfunding, poor communication, or long-delayed grants, Arc needs to improve.
If elected to Arc Board I intend to:
1. Streamline and improve the club grants process so individual payments are trackable and processed faster with maximum deadlines.
2. Return the spArc login access to 2 execs instead of 1, to increase club flexibility.
3. Give Food Hub a permanent location rather than 3-month leases, which will provide security to students who rely on it.
I understand the major issues facing clubs and I will work hard to provide the best possible experience for societies and the UNSW community.

Hey everybody!

My name is Sophia and I’m running to serve on the ARC Board this year!

As an Australian-born Vietnamese and a senior PR within the Vietnamese Students Association, I’ve always been deeply committed to building a supportive community for all. Through my involvement in both cultural and student-focused initiatives, I've come to truly understand the value of sharing experiences and culture within our societies.

I believe there’s so much more we can do to support students, such as making it cheaper to join uni clubs and promoting student wellbeing. Due to my work in the VSA and other clubs I know how to work across groups to get things done and make real changes to student life.

If elected to the ARC Board, I will dedicate myself to creating a more inclusive university culture, where students from all backgrounds can access the resources they need to succeed.

My core values are passion, respect, and integrity; I strive to uphold these values throughout my leadership and team experience, with past roles including School Vice-Captain, AISMUN Secretary-General, UNITAR Youth Ambassador, and director positions of various environmental youth NGOs. Being a part of the Arc Board really appeals to me – I view it as an invaluable opportunity to directly impact and enhance student life, in addition to meeting like-minded people. As a first-year, the importance of a strong sense of community within the student body is amplified, and whilst a part of gaining that is from actively getting involved, I do believe that Arc has directly contributed to my sense of belonging in ways that I am truly grateful for. Thus, I would love to have the opportunity to continue and expand Arc’s ideas to ensure that the impact continues. To me, the people are who genuinely matter.

I don't think personal statements matter here (I am WanderSoc’s chief navigator btw). This is an election and I'm putting policy first. For too long, Arc has continually increased regulations and bureaucracy for clubs and societies, making it harder for clubs and societies to put on events for members.

Back in O-week (which requires a bunch of forms for clubs to have a stall), Arc went around and handed us new rules. Did they remove old rules in favour of these new ones? No. Just more red tape.

If elected, I would push to remove unnecessary rules with more simplified regulatory pathways for clubs running safer events (such as an overnight event that doesn’t allow alcohol not requiring as much red tape), fairer, simplified grants based on pure attendance and ending the special treatment of directly arc run clubs like Arc Goes To and Arc Sport.
Alice WILLIAMS

I’m a third-year Law and Criminology student at UNSW, passionate about building a stronger, more inclusive student community. Having lived on-campus at Philip Baxter College, I’ve seen firsthand how vital a vibrant student life is for academic success and personal well-being. My involvement in the UNSW Law Society as the Beginners Mooting Director and my experience in prestigious mooting competitions have sharpened my leadership and collaboration skills—qualities I’d bring to the Board.
I’m committed to creating an environment where all students can thrive, whether through academic support, mental health resources, or social initiatives. As a former head of the Yearbook Committee and volunteer at various community events, I understand the importance of giving back to the community that shapes us.
Let’s work together to ensure UNSW continues to be a place where every student feels empowered to excel, connect, and contribute.

I am excited to contest for Student Director position of Arc Society at UNSW. I’m passionate about promoting inclusiveness, imagination, and student engagement and I aim to take UNSW to a place where every student is valued and listened to.

Through my experience in event-management, peer-coordination, and coordinating the diversified student needs, I have acquired expertise in triggering significant change. I believe in collaboration and transparent communication to bring about opportunities for students from all the faculties.

As Student Director, I will strive to enhance student services, organize cultural and creative activities, and be an advocate for students' voices at all times. Working together with other directors and members of Arc Society, I am committed to making a place where all students can thrive.

With compassion, creativity, and teamwork in consideration, I eagerly anticipate contributing fresh ideas and making UNSW best university for all students.

Thank you for your consideration.
Esha TRIPATHI

Hi, I’m Esha and I’m running to be your Arc Student Director to make student life more affordable, connected, and enjoyable.

If elected, I will:

• Improve ressie life – Push for lower rent and ensure dining hall feedback leads to quick changes.
• Advocate for academic fairness – Work towards implementing short extensions as a standard option for all courses.
• Make campus food cheaper – Fight for more subsidies at campus food outlets.
• Bring students together – Organize more uni-wide events to help students connect and make friends.
• Hold Arc & the SRC accountable – Ensure student voices turn into real changes quickly, not just promises.

Vote for me if you support these changes, let’s work together to make UNSW better for everyone!

Hey, I’m Gabby and I think of Arc reception and UNSW as my second home, and I want others to feel the same way – that’s why you might have seen me hovering around (a bit too much some might say).

Volunteering with Arc in 2024 was one of the best decisions in my life. I met so many compassionate and motivated individuals who changed my entire life perspective; and I crave that same feeling of genuine connection and warmth from creating real positive change.

People say I’m bursting with passion and energy; but the thing that gives me that energy is seeing others fearlessly passionate about the things they love.

That’s why my life mission is to forge a clearer pathway for others to have the best university experience possible and express their passions in a healthy way.

Please help me with my mission by voting for me!

From the sandy deserts in Dubai to the immaculate cleanliness of Singapore, busy food stalls on the streets of Mumbai to rainy mornings in London – having lived in multiple countries has not only increased my awareness of other cultures and differences but have allowed me to embrace the differences between individuals encompassing religion, race, sexual orientation, and abilities. Immersing myself in a culturally diverse international boarding house consisting of more than 27 nationalities has allowed me to interact, learn, and engage with an extensive range of individuals.
Having been chosen as the student voice representative in my boarding school, I am skilled and experienced in organizing and managing a diverse range of students like at UNSW. Being a first-year student gives me a fresh, new perspective on student life, and combined with my internationally diverse background enables me to help enrich the experience of all students at UNSW

As an international student passionate about community service and dedicated to making a positive impact, I am honored to nominate myself for the Arc Board. I firmly believe in the power of advocacy, inclusion, and equal opportunity for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With my deep-rooted commitment to social justice and equality, I am ready to contribute my skills, energy, and fresh perspective to ensure that everyone in our community has the resources, respect, and support they deserve. My experiences in leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving have prepared me to work with diverse teams and drive initiatives that foster understanding and empowerment. I am eager to help create a future where every individual can live, work, and thrive without limitations. Serving on the Arc Board is not just an opportunity—it's a responsibility I approach with dedication, compassion, and unwavering belief in the rights of all people.

I am passionate about fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for UNSW students. With thousands of hours dedicated to volunteering in healthcare and social service organizations like DanceWize NSW, St. John NSW, and NUAA, I deeply understand student well-being and mental health challenges.

I believe in solutions that prioritize student welfare—financial relief, combating digital scams, and addressing academic stress and mental health. My approach is action-driven: I get things done efficiently, ensuring real impact. I envision a campus where students thrive not just in libraries but under open skies, on sandy beaches, in a truly balanced university life.

If elected, I will dedicate my efforts to building a more supportive, stress-free, and financially accessible community for every student.
Zane COMARMOND

Image for Zane COMARMOND
My name is Zane Comarmond, and I am a penultimate year Law and Media student. Arc promises that a successful nominee for Arc Board has the chance to challenge the predominant issues that affect UNSW students’ lives, both on and off-campus. From both my own personal experience, and from discussions with my peers, it is evident that the largest issue facing students at UNSW is accessibility to adequate mental health and support services. These services and resources also need to cater to and celebrate the diversity of the UNSW student populace, with specialised training and resources provided to assist students of various ethnicities, sexualities, genders and religions.
From 2021-2022, I spent two years as SRC Queer Officer, so I am already familiar with working alongside Arc to improve student life, and uplifting and foregrounding minorities within that change. I believe this experience strongly supports my campaign for Arc Board.

Yo yo yo, I’m here to rizz you into voting for me! If you want the most skibidi campus ever, I’m your rizzler. I’ll mog the usual board by bringing in vibes no one’s ever seen before. We’ll have “Rizz Battles” in the quad, free snacks that hit harder than a TikTok trend, and vibes that scream “Sigma” 24/7. Forget boring meetings—let's fanum tax those and bring in dance challenges, mewing sessions, and “POV” theme parties. Every study space will be a Sigma zone, Wi-Fi so good it’ll make you think you’re in the future. Ohio won’t exist here—we’re all about those gyatt vibes. So vote for me and let’s make ARC the real king of campus fun. Time to edge past the competition and make UNSW the place to be! #MakeARCGreatAgain
Harry LEDGER

Image for Harry LEDGER
Hi everybody, my name is Harry! I’m a third year Law student and I’m running for ARC Board!

As someone not originally from Sydney, I remember feeling like an outsider in my first year. Not one person from my high school joined me at UNSW- and while my uni-friends were hanging out after class, I was having to catch the early train home just to get back before midnight.

I know just how important it is that ARC leadership considers students like me, whose barriers to a great uni experience may be economic, personal, or geographical.

To promote opportunity and deepen community at our university, I would advocate for lower club membership fees, as well as new student wellbeing and career development programs. I’d also aim to make ARC more open to regular students, and collaborative with uni clubs.

If you see me around, I’d love to hear your ideas!

Jasmeen CHHABRA

I am Jasmeen Chhabra, a second-year undergraduate student at UNSW pursuing a Bachelor of Environmental Management. As an international student, I deeply understand the challenges that come with transitioning to university life. My first year was incredibly difficult—I struggled with overwhelming academic expectations, social anxiety, and homesickness. I hesitated to engage with clubs and societies, faced difficulties attending classes due to an unfavorable living situation, and experienced workplace demotivation while balancing a part-time job. Carrying these burdens alone made the journey even more challenging.
However, I have grown immensely from these experiences. I have pushed myself beyond my comfort zone, rebuilt my confidence, and transformed into a more resilient and proactive individual. Today, I stand as a completely different version of myself—one who has healed, adapted, and is ready to lead with empathy and purpose. A Student Director should be someone who truly understands and connects with students,

In order to survive in this world of cut throat competition, one needs to be focused and disciplined. With a strong belief in this ideology, I have always worked hard to excel in life. This is evident from my academics, 97% in ICSE class 10 Board examinations followed by a 96.2% in ISC Class 12 Board examinations. Having chosen Computer Science along with commerce, I’ve developed an interest in logically solving problems to tackle real-world challenges.
A dedicated and ambitious student, I balance my academics and extracurricular activities efficiently. Apart from being the top student in my school, I have participated in numerous team activities. I was bestowed upon the title of a house captain, to be accountable and advise my juniors. As an active and challenging person, I participated in throw ball and cricket tournaments. My high school was instrumental in providing me with ample opportunities to showcase my

I am excited to apply for the opportunity to help shape the future of student life at UNSW. My journey from Muay Thai to bodybuilding has not only fueled my passion for fitness and health but has also equipped me with skills that are directly transferable to this role.
Throughout my fitness journey, I learned the importance of setting clear goals and tracking progress—whether meticulously adjusting my nutrition and training routines or guiding others to achieve their fitness objectives. During the lockdown, I discovered a deep appreciation for nutrition and well-being, realizing that optimizing physical and mental health can positively impact every area of life. This experience has taught me the value of consistent effort, attention to detail, and the power of a supportive community.
In addition to my personal achievements, my time working with partners in martial arts competitions has honed my teamwork and leadership skills. I have
